Chapultepec Tours during the 2026 World Cup

Chapultepec is Latin America’s most important urban forest: imperial castle, world-class museums and green areas to rest between matches.

About Chapultepec

Chapultepec gathers the most important museums in the city —Anthropology, Tamayo, Modern Art— and the only royal castle ever inhabited in the Americas. It is the best area to grasp pre-Hispanic, imperial and modern Mexico in one go. For international visitors we recommend a guided visit to the National Anthropology Museum (at least 3 hours) and, on a second day, the climb up to the Castle with panoramic views over Reforma.

Ideal for

Families, international school groups, art-loving couples and groups who want a full day of culture without leaving the city.

Recommended duration

Half a day per museum (4 hours). Full day if combining the Castle and the Anthropology Museum.

Experience type

Safety & logistics

A heavily touristed and patrolled area. Access via Auditorio or Chapultepec metro stations. The Castle is closed on Mondays. Arriving early helps avoid lines and catches the best light for photography.
